For Social Care Solutions, that question was shaped by a clear vision and promise. From the early days in 2009, the company set out to improve outcomes in child protection and safeguarding. As demand for high-quality services increased, so too did the opportunity to build capability and expand impact across the human services sector.
The team acknowledged that whilst they were technical experts, they weren’t experts in every facet of running a business. Independent guidance was essential. Social Care Solutions committed to Queensland Leaders in 2023 with a focus on professional development.
At Queensland Leaders, Social Care Solutions engaged with specialists across disciplines including strategy, finance, technology and marketing. The team broadened their knowledge and skills in both expected and unexpected areas.
Just as importantly, the experience fostered valuable connections with owners and leaders of privately-owned companies. Over time, these relationships have naturally evolved into trusted advisors, partners and clients.
The foundations are significantly stronger. This has been driven by three developments – organisational restructure, strategic outsourcing and improved governance. There has also been an uplift in financial literacy and sales and marketing capability.
Together, these changes have created a more sustainable and scalable company. Social Care Solutions is well positioned to deliver on its safeguarding commitment to agencies across child protection, childcare and human services.
