ManUp! Australia –

Changing the Statistics Through Education

At ManUp! Australia, we believe no man should lose his life to prostate cancer simply because he didn't know the facts. Our mission is to eradicate prostate cancer deaths in Australia through education, awareness and early detection. Since our establishment in 2010, we've been committed to empowering men, their families and communities with the knowledge they need to take action before it's too late.

Every year, around 79 Australian men are diagnosed with prostate cancer, making it the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australian men. The good news is that when detected early, prostate cancer has one of the highest survival rates. That's why we dedicate ourselves to taking this life-saving message directly to the people who need to hear it most.

Each year, our ManUp! On The Road Educational Tour travels throughout Queensland and New South Wales, delivering  a prostate cancer education program to regional, rural and metropolitan communities. We visit workplaces, mining sites, sporting clubs, community organisations and corporate businesses, providing practical, easy-to-understand information that encourages men to take control of their health.

Our presentations break down the myths surrounding prostate cancer, explain the importance of regular PSA blood testing from the age of 40, and encourage men to know their score and monitor it every year. More importantly, we create conversations. We know that talking openly about men's health can be difficult, but we've seen firsthand how one presentation can inspire someone to book a test that ultimately saves their life.

At ManUp!, we work with communities where access to health education can be limited and where prostate cancer can have a significant impact. Through presentations, community engagement and partnerships, we aim to increase awareness of prostate cancer, promote informed health decisions and support earlier diagnosis.

We welcome opportunities to work with businesses, community organisations and leaders across Queensland and New South Wales to share evidence-based information about prostate health and cancer awareness.
